Newport RI is GREAT, love it. Lots to do, Cliff walks are amazing, great pubs and restaurants. We stayed at the Viking inn / hotel and it was great. Thats about all I know about RI but I am big newport fan.

it's worth the trip! i LOVE Newport-it's just beautiful. the place we used to stay was the vanderbilt hotel-it was great but i think it might have changed to something else? not sure, it's been 5 yrs since i've been. most of the inns/hotels there are really nice. definitely do the cliff walk-so pretty! visit the mansions, stores, restaurants. it's just so nice there!

newport is awesome! i totally agree with the op!
great restaurants, can go sailing, the mansions are beautiful, shopping...you will have fun!

newport is amazing best hoel is the hyatt has an amazing outdoor pool iwth waitress service and live bands. also has a shuttle that takes you to and from town ( 3 min drive) also has an indoor pool spa etc..
