Pediatrician Recommendations
I am trying to find a pediatrician in the Seaford area (can be Wantagh, Massapequa, Merrick, Bellmore, & vicinity). If you also wouldn't mind sharing what made you choose the doctor (and if you love them!). TIA!!!

you may want to post this on Parenting.
I use Dr. Jeffrey Silverstein in Merrick. I LOVE him! He is only one in the practice. he's very laid back. will not give meds until absolutely necessary. DS didnt get his first dose of AB until he was 13 months. he is sweet and supportive and the nurses are awesome!!

i'm using Pediatric Healthcare of LI in Bellmore. my friend lives in the same town as me and goes there for her 2 daughters so i trusted her opinion.

I too am "just visiting" the preggo chats. I miss them. 
I use Dr. Jassey in Bellmore on Newbridge Road. I actually found them on the parenting chats. Maybe people suggested him and his practice. I went for an orientation and felt so good about them I never interviewed any other doctors. I've been to them about 5 times so far and have met almost all the doctors (I think there are 6 or more) and each has been nicer than the last. They are very patient, especially with a first time new mother. Here's there contact info:

Dr. Nayor in Hicksville. I probably won't be using her because she's a little too far for me, but she is a sweetheart. I know quite a few people who use her and they love her.

This is the practice I think I will like the best. They do an interview session once a month. The next one is July 30. From what I have I read it seems like so far they are everything I am looking for.

I didn't do the interview session b/c DH works that day, but they let us go in a speak with Dr. Beharre (Sp.) she was wonderful, very patient and answered all questions we had. My OB is also using them, they are open 7 days and have a beeper system instead of answering service which we liked. I am sure you will like them.
