This is the reason why this time around we haven’t told anyone. Well DH slipped and told his mother and I said well I’m telling my BFF. So now we are even. My family keeps asking me what will DS2’s name be and I just say you will find out when we have him. If I tell you now you will complain about it and I don’t want to hear your opinion so deal with it. I LOVE my immediate family but they give me a headache often.

WOW!!! People have some nerve. It's not her baby to name. 
I'm sorry you had to deal with that. People are soooo rude, I can't even believe it sometimes!

She's got quite a set to actually ask you to change the names even after DH told her no.
I'm glad your DH is 100% on your side with this. She is nuts!!

Ok she already HAS a grandaughter w/her name, seriously she needs another? Honestly she needs a reallity chk...she should be happy one is already named after her but two??!
eta my middle name is after my grandmother, I never really liked the idea, I always think ppl in the family compare me to her b/c I am her "namesake" it is not exactly the best association...

my suggestion is that you go out and get yourself a dog and name it after her.. ;)

OMG I just snorted, that was great!!!!
I agree, she has some set of ballz to ask. We had our family ask to name them after deceased bc it's tradition and it's the hebrew name, but to say can u name one after me and she already has kids named after her

I have a feeling this is exactly what's going to happen to me, so we're not sharing our names. I hope that after our baby comes they'll be so excited about the baby that they won't get all caught up on the name.
I have relatives in Europe who named their son after the wife's dad and not the husband's dad and the husband's dad is still upset about it. And I think the kid's about 6 mos old!
I understand tradition and all but how egotistical to expect for a baby to be named after you!
