update 2 on me from hospital
I was supposed to get the 12hr cervadil but instead got the 4hr cyotec (sp?). I have low platelets, slightly high BP, and liver enzyme issues. They treated me for preeclampsia and mentioned me developing HELLP.
I can't get an epi due to clotting issues so if I end up with a c/s I will get general anesthesia with a tube down my throat and be totally knocked out. DH can't be in the room :(
After 4hrs I'm only a fingertip dilated so they started round 2 of cyotec. We shall see what happens
Update 2
So I've had 3 rounds of cyotec now. I'm 1cm dilated and 70% effaced as of a few hours ago. They should be checking me again soon and then maybe starting the pitocin. I don't feel any contractions yet

I was put out for DS when he was born. DH wasn't allowed in the room and I also had the tube down my throat. You won't know a thing and DH will be there in the recovery room when you wake up. It happens so fast. One moment they're prepping you and the next thing you know you're waking up shaking and cold, but DH will be right there and it's ALL TOTALLY normal when you start shaking. THey'll put one of those warmers on you and you'll start to feel better. Recovering from the anestesia is tough. I won't lie, but take it easy, hit your meds button (as much as you can to help with the pain) and relax and concentrate on LO. You'll be home b4 you know it. Each day gets better. Get up and walk around when you can.
worst part in the cough b/c of the tube. Everytime I coughed it hurt my stomach and the gas pain is annoying, but they give you stuff for the pain.
It's honestly not bad at all. Feel well and good luck!!
ETA - I didn't even know about the tubes till after since they do it while you're out. Found out a day or so later b/c my throat was sore and my arms were too from being strapped down. You'll do great!
