Considering TTCing again....rec an ob-gyn on the South Shore
While I LOVE the fact that my current doctor is affiliated with LIJ, I really don't think I can stand to make the trek all the way up there, all the time, the second time around.
I also don't know if any doctors on the South Shore are going to be affiliated with LIJ (???).
Can you recommend your ob-gyn?
What hospital are they affilated with?
We probably won't start for a couple more months, but I want to be "prepared".

Don't go to South Bay OBGYN. They went from being really good to really horrible over the past few years. They are like a baby factory now.
I had my 2 girls with them. I took my sis there when she got PG and after seeing what they are like now, I would not recommend. My sis went with a midwife, and I had my records transferred to Comprehensive OBGYN in West islip, but only had a regular checkup there. never any prenatal care.

I'd recommend Dr. Ketcham at Comprehensive OB/GYN in West Islip. Love him! They are affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital.

im an idiot when it comes to north shore/south shore towns.
what is bellmore considered? i go to long island women's healthcare on merrick rd in bellmore. as of this past january they changed to NSLIJ hospital.
i see Dr. Bashian and i love her. i've also met with Dr. Phillips and Dr. Kincham (sp?). one is a male, one is a female. they have all been great

Thank you!! Bellmore is a lot more do-able for me then Great Neck, where my doc is now.
I realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly don't want to leave LIJ either if I can help it!

I was going to rec my OBGYN - Emily Gubert. Her practice is in East Islip - about 10 mins east of Babylon, and she is affiliated with Good Sam, which is right near Babylon.

See and I go to south bay and have had nothing but a great experience. They my Dr has been great this last week since Ive been so sick. He called me back from home.

me too! i love this practice. they are really wonderful to deal with and everyone in the office is incredibly nice and caring.
and i agree also with pp's advice about southbay. i would steer clear from them imo.

That's my brother in law!  the Doctors in the practice are amazing...I used to see Dr. Squicciarini but she moved. I was seeing the PA there who was great but then I moved. I can tell you I had nothing but positive xperiences at Comprehensive!

He is soooo funny. I was there with my sister the other day and he was telling a story and I had tears in my eyes from laughing..

Been a patient of Dr. Philips- NEVER again. Just a warning- no bedside manner and he creeped me out. I heard the other doc's in there are good.This was just my experience.

I go to Island OBGYN in Massapequa/Seaford border on Sunrise Hwy. I had a bad experience once with a PA there who had me waiting over 2 1/2 hrs. I said my piece and have not had to deal with her since then.
My OB is great though, I really like her. Now when I go I make sure my phone is charged up so I can play angry birds while I wait .
Ever since I got pg, my total visit time has not been more than 1 1/2 hrs.

to be honest i only saw him when he was filling in for Dr. Bashian and he only reviewed my NST so it was a short visit. Dr. Kuncham however saw me the other day while my doc was at the hosp and i went in for labor pains and she was great and thorough
