help me plan my babymoon
ok so DH and I are trying to plan a long weekend as our babymoon. we don't want to do anything that involves flying though.
We have thought about doing some beach type vacation (cape cod, jersey shore, etc) where it would be relaxing. However, I am also the type of person that wants to have stuff to do besides just sit on a beach. I worry that most of those beach towns will be boring for me being preggo if I can't drink or do activities.
We have wanted to do Boston for a really long time and we are thinking of that as an option. It wouldn't be the relaxing beach vacation but there would be plenty to do. My worry is that it will be too much walking and stuff though since I will be 23/24 weeks preggers with twins.
Where should we go??!!!

Boston is fun! Rhode Island has some cute areas. Martha's Vineyard Jersey Shore (LBI!!!!) Maryland (hubby and I want to got to Baltimore for some good food and they have a good music scene...it's pretty by the harbor) Poconos OC, Maryland AC if you like to gamble
My husband and I want to do a little weekend getaway too. I'm thinking Baltimore and LBI in Jersey.

Baltimore is definitely a great option. Dh and I love going to Baltimore (especially if the Yankees are in town). If you want to stay closer to home, my friends always rave about Mohonk Mountain house (the hikes maybe too much for you) but it is scenic and relaxing (no beach) or Skytop in the Poconos. Have fun!!!

Re: help me plan my babymoon
Boston is so much fun. We go every year and love it, there is so much to do but it is not relaxing at all.
Cape Cod is soooo relaxing and pretty. There are things you can do there. We went to the different towns and you can go to Martha's Vineyard for the day. You can also go whale watching, we saw tons there. We went out of Provincetown. Which is a really interesting place to visit. The food is delicious...of course the best part is the seafood. There are tons of fun shops so if you like shopping you won't get bored with that. There is not much to do at night besides have dinner, so I'd recommend eating late. I'd highly recommend Cape Cod.

i'd reccomend cape cod too! but how far are you willing to drive? my in-laws live on the cape and its a 5 hour drive to their house. nantucket and martha's vineyard are both really cute islands for day trips.

Re: help me plan my babymoon
thanks ladies! we don't mind driving 4-5 hours.
Baltimore is fun but we have been there a few times so we wanted something different. Same with AC and the Poconos.
I went to Cape cod when I was younger, but I don't remember doing much other than going to the beach every day. I guess I should do more research to see what else there is to do around there!
I will look up Martha's Vineyard too

Re: help me plan my babymoon
I love boston - but for the most part it is not that relaxing
You could take a boat from down town to one of the islands and relax at the beach for the day
but wandering around the different neghborhoods is fun - i just got back and i was almost 28 weeks for twins - i really had no problem walking around and there is T (subway) nearby at almost all times so we hopped on that when i got tired to get home
we also love to go to natucket - it has a cute little town, great restaurants, and nice beaches - we rented a Jeep and we took that on the beach it was fun -
