Camp sites
Can anyone recommend any campsite in NY but not on Long Island. My husband loves camping and while I can do without it I would like to surprise him with a camping trip one weekend in the summer. TIA

If you don't want to travel too far, try Fahnestock. We love it there! There's a lake across the road that you can swim in. If you want to make a bigger trip out of it, try Hearthstone point. Nice grounds right on the lake. Lots to do in town

Sorry. Fanestock is in westchester and hearthstone on lake George
