Everyday vs. 'special occasion'

What is your everyday makeup routine? What do you do differently when you're doing your makeup for a wedding or other special occasion?

Personally I do a bit heavier on the foundation, stick with shimmery shadows and break out the liquid eyeliner when getting all glam'ed up. Chat Icon

Re: Everyday vs. 'special occasion'

For "everyday" it takes me less than 5 mins. to put on my makeup. I just do eyeliner (a must for me whenever I leave the house), and a little blush, eyeshadow, and lipstick/gloss. I probably look like I'm not wearing much makeup at all.

For special occasions, I wear foundation, mascara, and go heavier with the eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick. Takes much longer to apply, because I try to make it look more "perfect" than the everyday.

lol- I always wear heavy(ish) foundation ( Revlon Colorstay or MUFE HD) & liquid or gel eyeliner.

For a special occasion I will add bronzer & highlighter to my blush routine, and amye layer a creme & powder blush, and curl my lashes again AFTER mascara, and go heavier on the liner & eyeshadow. For everyday, it is usually 1 or 2 colors just because of time.

and I might wear long wearing lipstick instead of gloss.

My type of foundation depends on time of day or time of the year (how my skin reacts to the weather: sweat or dry).

Otherwise I wear full makeup every day (primer, liquid foundation, loose powder and then all my color: shadows, liner, blush, highlighter, gloss, mascara)

The only thing I may do differently is do a more dramatic eye with color and/or shimmer.

Mineral foundation
Blush
Undereye brightener/concealer
Light shadow, sometimes eyeliner

Special occasions are pretty much exactly the same, but I do a darker or more colorful eyeshadow. I never wear matte shadows, they look "dirty" on my eyes, so mine always have some shimmer to them.
