Would you mind sharing your shower dress?
It has been brought to my attention that I need to get a dress like now. I think my mother hates me. She sent out my invites with a registry on it that I didn't even create yet (at that time) and she is obsessed with the surprise element of the shower so she won't let on when it is. I'm on bedrest and all she is doing is stressing me out! I can't go shopping and the very last thing I need is to look like crap at my shower. DH thought he was being funny and told me just to wear a house dress. Then I cried. LOL
Would you ladies mind sharing your dress selection and where you found it? Thanks.

I bought mine at Pea in the Pod. Wore it with nude open toe patent leather slingbacks (later changed into flats of course)

i ordered a dress on ebay for a wedding I have in 2 weeks. The dress just came yesterday and it is realyl cute. It's not that fancy but I was jut planning to dress it up with fancier shoes and jewelry, but this would definitely be cute for a shower!
the dress is Moody Mamas Maternity...I ordered it bc it was free shipping and returns.

I plan on wearing this dress. I bought it for a wedding last month and it was still pretty big on me. It's from Next Direct (online). It's a UK store and shipping is only $5 per order and my orders have all arrived in 3 days or less.

I love this dress-- I have a wedding in Oct and I will need something. How is the fit and quality? Can you return? Can't beat that price. Only prob would be getting my prego boobs into a strapless bra.

I went to TJ Maxx and bought an Empire halter dress, I got a lot of compliments on it.
The only maternity items I own are pants/capris, everything is is empire waisted tops and dresses, or maxi dresses.

It fits big IMO. I used to shop in Next when I lived in Ireland/England and know what my regular size is but this was very roomy. The material isn't the best quality - it's a rayon/cotton mix - but as a maternity dress that I won't wear more than a few times it's perfect. Oh, and the top is baggy so plenty of room for boobage, although I don't have that problem.

omg you're hilarious... my mother hates me 
don't rule out non-maternity empire waist dresses! My shower dress was an empire waist with a tie back and it was perfectly comfortable. Check the usual - macys, tjmaxx, etc

Thank you ladies! I didn't even think about doing a regular empire waist. Ugh. I think my shower may be at my mom's house and she would have no problem letting me show up in my bathing suit ready to go in the pool. She's making me nuts!
