Question for those who have the same height and weight

as I did pre pregnancy.

I am 5'4" and I weighed 130 pounds. I will be 4 months pregnant tomorrow and I can not believe I have gained 12 pounds in 4 months!

Everyone keeps telling me it's all belly and my legs, butt, arms and face is still thin. Can this really be that all that weight is in my tummy?

I am not eating that badly I swear!

Is this too much too soon?

Women will gain weight at different rates. You're fine!!

Im a similar height and weight. Pre-pregnancy I was 142 lbs. and almost 5'6". I will be 17 weeks tomorrow and have gained 8 lbs. I use this website to check that my weight is on track.

Also, ask your dr. what they think too. I asked at my appt. yesterday just to make sure.

It sounds like you're right on track. At 16 weeks 12lbs is not fat in any way.

I was 128lbs at 5'7" prepregnancy and am up 14lbs at 19+ weeks.

I gained weight the same way (5'5" and 135 when i got PG), and I was told I was all belly too. I think this was mostly true b/c I still fit into my pants - they just didn't close around the belly You are totally fine

Thank ladies. I did ask my Dr. at my last visit and her answer was like this "hmm, well your're pettite so you wanna watch what you're eating, just eat healthy".

I told her that I am for the most part. I only pigged out hard core two or three times.

I thought her answer would have been that I am fine. Weird thing is... she was my Aunt's Obstetrician 10 years ago. My aunt told me that when my Aunt gained 50 pounds towards the end of her pregnancy, that the dr. said nothing about the extra weight gain.
and my aunt is shorter than I am. weird that she would have this reaction with me right?

Whatever, I am not obsessing over it. I am going to just continue eating my fruits, healthy carbs, proteins and greens. Once in a while, if I want a couple of cookies or a piece of cake or some ice cream, I am gonna do it!
