Reccomend your sound only Monitor
We have a video monitor for DD#1 and she is 3 - we really don't need the video anymore, but I'm not ready to stop with the monitor b/c while she is in a big girl bed, she still doesn't "get" that she can get out at anytime - which I'm happy to leave her in ignorance until she figures it out!
So we are expecting #2 and will move the video monitor to DD#2 room but want a sound only monitor for DD#1 -
Any recs??? TIA

we have the graco one and love it. you can make it vibrate whenever it detects a sound (which helps DH sleep) and it has two receivers so you don't constantly have to carry it around with you.
it was even on HOUSE!

This is what I have too and highly recommend it! It has a "sound-activated" mode so you don't hear the "hum" or background noise in the room, but when the baby makes noise, it turns on. I had it for DD#1 and got another one for DD#2.

Ditto on the Sony one. It's affordable and works well. Lotsa great reviews too.

I have this one too. We like it.
eta: We have the one with two receivers. My one complaint is that it doesn't hold a charge well; we have to switch off.

I also was going to say the Sony BabyCall. Its AWESOME. I have had it since DD was botn - she is 5 now and I still use it sometimes.
