Jersey Shore Season 4 Premiere Date Announced
The fourth season of Jersey Shore, which will chronicle the cast's exploits in Florence, Italy, is set to premiere Thursday, August 4 at 10/9c on MTV, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Additionally, the cast will return to Seaside Heights, NJ, later this month to film its fifth season. If it follows the pattern of the other two Jersey Shore Jersey seasons, it should debut sometime in early winter.
A week before the Season 4 premiere, on July 28 at 10/9c, MTV will air a special exploring the series as a cultural phenomenon.
Season 4 was plagued with issues even before it started filming, when the mayor of Florence imposed various restrictions on the cast, including banning them from being filmed while drinking in public. Additionally, Italy's president Giorgio Napolitano's visit to Florence pushed back the show's May start date by a few days. Most recently, star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was involved in a fender-bender with Italian police.

According to TMZ, they didn't know they were headed right back to the Shore.
Sources close to the "Jersey Shore" cast tell TMZ ... the cast does NOT know they are scheduled to shoot the next season of the show ASAP -- and it could mean HUGE problems for the future of the show.
According to our sources, the cast hasn't been told the plan is to shoot season five right after they are done shooting four -- even though MTV announced it yesterday. We're told 495 Productions will break the news either today or tomorrow.
Our sources say the cast was originally told the next season of the show would shoot in August. As a result, we're told the cast members booked club appearances for July -- and those are HUGE money makers. According to our sources, the cast will leave Italy in late June and go straight to Seaside Heights -- which is a problem ... since no one packed enough clothing. We're told the cast would rather take a break and NOT go straight into shooting.
If MTV and 495 don't budge ... our sources say the cast could ban together like they did last year and stage a revolt.

Really?? Another season of them in Jersey Shore. I thought this Italy season would be it. I have enjoyed the shows, but enough is enough with this cast. They are too famous now. Also I don't know if I can watch another season of Ronnie and Sammy fighting. I will start watching season 4, but if it is all about them again, that is it for me.
