Today is my last day at work
It's sorta a bitter sweetness too. I am not planning on going back (but they don't know that). One part of me is so thrilled and grateful that I am fortunate enough to stay home with my little girl when she gets here. But then there is another part of me that is sad that this chapter of my life is over. I started tearing up on my train ride in this morning thinking that the next time I ride the LIRR into NYC, it will be more as a visitor. . Plus, I work in a great industry in which I've met a lot of great people and I'm sad to see all of that go. I know once  is here, nothing will be as important as my time with her, but I am definitely going to miss all of this. Who knows what might happen in the future............
Anyhow, I think I am just over emotional these days. Thanks for listening.

Awww good luck. I felt the exact same way last Friday. I walked out crying and I cried the entire way home. It is bittersweet. I totally understand.

Aww, I can understand the mixed emotions. Like you said, I'm sure that as soon as your LO arrives you won't even care, especially at first.
I've been working from home and have had my last day in the office, I think I'll use the remainder of my sick/personal days next week and then start short-term disability the Monday after.
I am hoping not to go back, but will make the decision in September. I definitely need/want to work somewhere, but hopefully part-time and much closer to home -- I was a commuter too.
I made sure that when I was in the office that last day I took my regular trains to say goodbye to my train friends.
