Alexandra?
Being team green and trying to focus on names is tough.
Thinking of Alexandra for a girl, Alexander for a boy? Well, today this is what I am thinking.
For a girl, DH really likes the nickname Allie/Ally. I'm luke warm on it but I kind like the name Alexandra for a girl and Allie could work as a nickname for that, right?

Absolutely! That's my friend's DD's name. Well, actually I think it's Alessandra but everyone calls her Ali.

I love the name Alexandra! And yup, Allie works. I knew an Alexandra and she went by Alex or Allie..mostly Allie. Great name choice :)

Alexandra (or Alexandria) is my #1 top all time girl's name.  I would use the nickname Alex, but I love Allie as well!

As a teacher of 500 diff kids a year. Most girls end up or prefer being called alex.
Just my experience over the past 12 years.

I find the opposite...either they keep alexandra or use Allie/Ali/Ally

LOVE it!!
It was on my list, because we have "Kate" (Kaitlynn) and I thought having "Kate and Allie" would be simply awesome!
But it just is too much with our last name...

Alexandra is a great name...and Ali is also a great nickname for it 
All kidding and bias aside, I've never had a problem with my name and always liked it, and it's not a super common name, but common enough that it's never going to be considered one of those trendy names, so I think it's a great choice.

We are team  And this is our agreed upon  name! And Allie is our nickname for her too!
If we have a  though I want Andrew. DH on the other hand... Ugh, let's just say I hope it's a girl for eases sake!
