Good Sam C-section class no longer mandataory
I just got off the phone with the woman who handles all of the prenatal education classes and she told me the c-section classes are no longer mandatory but are highly recommended. Just thought I would share with you all.

Thank you! How did you find out about the classes they offer? I'm delivering at Good Sam too.

I thought it was a waste of time anyhow. Most of it was about Shaken Baby syndrome (handouts, a video, a talk) and filling out some paperwork. I was no more prepared for my unplanned c-section than I would have been without it

Re: Good Sam C-section class no longer mandataory
I signed up for one of the July First Time Around classes... I never knew any of the classes were even mandatory. We're doing the full day Saturday in July. It's $125 per couple, which includes lunch, and goes from 9am to 5pm. I want to get a feel for what to expect when I go into labor and see the maternity ward, which is all included in that class. She said they touch upon breast feeding and delivery methods and Lamaze. I know I'll know more than I know now - which is NOTHING!

We are going to the July 9th class. Is that the same one you are going to?
