C-section Date?
Those of you who had a scheduled c-section - how far in advance did you get your date?

Great Question. I had to have a c-section with my first and I had a lot of complications so was lucky to make it to 37 wks (in NYC hosp). Now I'm delivering at Winthrop and can't get a straight answer from my docs as to when I will be scheduled. G-Luck!

Someone asked the same question yesterday I think, a lot of people answered.
Mine was scheduled at my 32 week appt. My doctor said Winthrop won't let them schedule any further ahead.
A lot of other people said they did it three months earlier.

i am going to do a scheduled c section and my doc said we won't schedule a date until im 32 weeks and the date is typically @ 39 weeks. I am delivering at winthrop as well. HTH

As of my last appt my doc told me he wants to do the C/S either 10/4 or 10/5. I'm 21 weeks right now and he can't schedule me this far in advance. He has an idea for when he wants to do it but it's scheduling that he can't do. I'll be delivering at Stony brook.

Dr. P said they dont schedule anything until 39 weeks  Which I won't even be making it till, so I am not sure.

my dr said I might need one and he wants to schedule it at my next appointment when he gets more copies of some records from another dr. my next appointment with him is 13 or 14 weeks. I would be having it at stony brook. I thought that was very early, but at least I will know the date!

That can't be right. He wants to do mine at 38 weeks. I've been waiting 4 weeks for his office to schedule it for me. He didn't seem concerned last week that I don't have a date yet, but I'm a planner and want to know already so I can plan my last day of work and what not. I made sure the woman who schedules them had all the information before I left so hopefully I'll get my date this week.
