Nail issue

so i stupidly cut my nail from the cuticle to the end with a box cutter. (all the way to the nail bed) the skin has healed but the nail is definitely going to take a while to heal

im going away in a week and i planned on getting a gel mani like i usually do.

safe or no?

opinions please! TIA!

i have a pic if you would like to see it. LOL

Re: Nail issue

I would get a mani but just do clear or very light and don't do anything to that nail...

Re: Nail issue

I would not get that nail polished. If they put your fingers in a cup to soften them leave that finger out. I would show them in advance and not have them put cream or anything on that nail.

Re: Nail issue

I got a really bad infection in 2 of my fingers when DS was a newborn..yes, from his diapers. The cuticle area was all infected, red and raw and eventually I lost the nails. The cuticle & skin cleared up much faster but the nails take forever.

I would not treat it with any sort of chemicals. if you're getting a mani, dont do anything to that finger. the chemicals will just irritate it and prolong the healing.
