Course this is 30+ yrs. ago, but with our first two, Debi, and Donna, i awoke in the AM, about 7/7:30, and had them before lunch!!!! Worked for me!!!! Our Son, was due Christmas eve, but came about 1:30 AM, Dec. 26th. They still gave him a little red Santa cap!!!!! After the first two, I was in no mood to mess around, and our Son almost arrived before the Dr.!!!! Mary

woke up at 6am on a sunday with contractions - went to the hospital at 6pm and DD was born at 11:58pm

11:45pm on Halloween I started having horrible back pain. Left for the hospital at 3am..contractions 3-5 minutes apart. Had DD at 12:57pm

My first contraction was at 12:32am and I had by 9:32am.

There have actually been studies that show that pregnant women (especially 1st timers) are much more likely to go into labor during the night, so you may be right in thinking that! That being said, I was woken up by my first contraction at 5am and our son was born at 11:06 that night.

1045pm on halloween my water broke when we laid down for bed ds was born 3:11 am via c section bc he was to big

both kids around 7:30pm.

DD #1....water broke at 8pm but it was such small amount i thought i had jsut peed on myself so i didnt go to the hospital right away...contractions started at midnight

DD#2......5 days late so i was induced

3:30 pm for both. One was born at 7:44 am and the other was born 10:59 am.

9pm water broke and contractions started hard and strong shortly after. Mind you it was POURING RAIN I was holding out to go to the hospital b/c I didn't want to drive in the torrential downpour. Well seemed like everyone (the RN told me more women go into labor during rain/full moon) went into labor that night b/c the L&D was full and there were no rooms available when I got there (about 4:30 am)

I feel like I read a lot more stories about labor starting in the middle of the night than not... I wonder why?

I went into labor gradually over time on Monday from 5-9pm'ishand had her on Wednesda morning at 9:44. DH had his first round of nights and when he left at 5:30 I said, "I'll see you in a little while" laughing and surely I did! lol

As for my Dr....when I left my appointment the week or so before my due date he said nothing was going on and that he'd see me at 40 weeks...I was so upset, but ended up seeing him 5 days earlier than that!
