Bare Minerals users...

.. do you find you get enough coverage with the powders? I feel like I apply it just as it's directed to do so but that it tends to highlight the 'fuzz' on my face. Not necessarily facial 'hair' but the fine fuzz on my skin. Ugh, sounds so wierd but I'm sure someone knows what I'm talking about.

I gave up on the foundation... I just use the concealer as foundation - put it on w/ foundation brush and then use the smaller/concealer brush for any spots w/ issues.

Have you tried the matte foundation?

Maybe the color is wrong and that's why you're not getting the coverage you need. Chat Icon

Re: Bare Minerals users...

I apologize in advance for the novel.

I totally know what you mean about the fuzz! sometimes it seems that the Bare Minerals just sits on the face, and doesn't always give good coverage.

I have a love/hate relationship with Bare Minerals.

In the spring and summer, I generally convert over to it.

During the rest of the year, I use liquid. I just find that if I use liquid during the summer, it clogs my pores more, and causes breakouts.

I'm a firm believer than in order for Bare Minerals to look good on your skin, you need to have pretty flawless skin to begin with

Right now my skin is pretty smooth and clear, so I'm able to use it as directed.....however, when I need extra coverage, I spritz mineral water on my face first and then apply it with a damp brush. It gives it such a nice coverage - very smooth. It may be worth a shot!

I use Bare Minerals, and I have had good luck, but I HAVE to use the primer. Without the primer, the coverage is not enough.

I just recently started using their primer (thinking it was no different than the Smashbox stuff - but really, it's the same) and I see a small difference but not enought to sell me. I might try the damp brush/ mineral water thing.. Thanks Chat Icon

I have to use a lot of it to get good coverage, but my skin has a lot of imperfections. I go through it way too fast! Sometimes I will use liquid mineral foundation underneath for more coverage. I know what you mean about the fuzzy look. I don't really get it with the bare minerals but I have with other powders I've used.
