What time of day did you go into labor?

DH asked me the other day when I think I may go into labor. I said I have a feeling overnight in the middle of my sleep. I'm not sure why I think this but my brother and I were both early morning babies.

So, if you were not induced and your labor started on its own, what time of day was it and where were you when it started? Another fear is my water breaking at work or my DH driving all the way to work (1 hr 30 mins away) and something happens and he has to come all the way back.

Also, at your OB appointments when you were getting closer to your due date, did your doctor predict correctly when your LO should be arriving? (ie: "within 48 hours", "any day now", "by next week").

I woke up 3:30am monday morning with the start - cramping. got progressively worse. Was scheduled for a NST/bio (was late) and the sono tech made me go straight to the OB.


OB sent me home saying it would still be a few days. DS was born 11:30 PM tuesday night.

With DD1- I woke up at 445am with cramping and then progressly got worse

With DD2- contractions were sporatic around 8pm. Then woke up at 5am the next morning with more cramping and then they got closer together

Water broke while I was sleeping at 5:30 am, at almost 41w. I was so worried too, that it would happen at work, or somewhere in public.

With Ds#1 my contractions started at 10 am I delivered at 623pm the next night.
Ds#2 labor started at 1030pm delivered at 1221am

Contractions started around noon - after a pedi, while shopping for cat food lol - water broke during an exam around 1:30p and DD was born at 8:23 that evening

I'm anticipating DD#2 will arrive rather quickly as well...

Water broke at 1a.m. while I was sleeping.

Labored for 17 hours -- and wound up with a c/s and baby was born 7:30pm

Last Thursday contractions started 7:30 am, went to the hospital at 12 had her at 1:49 pm....

water broke at 330 am...didn't have her until 5:01 pm

Water broke 5:30 pm Wednesday, he was born 17 hrs later @ 10:17 Thursday

Around 3am for both of them!!!

I was at home when my water broke and contractions started at the same time, 9:40pm. I had my ds exactly 14 hours later.

mild cramping started @ midnight, water broke on our way @ 3am
DD arrived @ 8:25am

6:30 pm on a Wednesday evening my contractions started about 10 minutes apart and just kept getting worse. DD was born less than 6 1/2 hours later. We went to the hospital around 9:30. It was a quick labor (especially for a first). My water never broke. My doctor broke it when I was 10 cm and it was time to push.

i went into labor at about 5:30am. I had to pee and felt a little gush of something. Turns out it was my showing. I took a shower and then woke up my husband and my aunt (who came over from england). Contractions started about 7am. I had a OB appointment that morning at 8:30, so we just went. I was 4cm when i got to the appt. I was 6cm when i got to the hospital (which is 2 minutes away from office). The doctor had to break my water at 8cm.

The week before at my appointment, i was only a fingertip dialated.

My water broke at 5:30 in the morning on a Sat.

Had contractions pretty much all day at work (I'm a teacher)....went to my regular 38 week checkup at 330pm, where the dr told me I was still 3cm dilated and 70% effaced (as I had been for TWO WEEKS)....he told me to go home and relax cause he didn't think the baby was coming anytime soon!!!

At 530pm I was standing in my kitchen....DH telling me that DD would come "when she is ready"....he gives me a big hug and my water broke!!!!! Got to the hospital at around 6pm and DD was born at 10:29pm.

Went to the dr. friday morning and he said 1st time babies are notorious for being late water broke Sat morning around 10-11 am. Had my DS at 8:31pm. I was 2 weeks early.

I woke up at 6:30am on Saturday with cramping. I woke up DH and told him that it was going to happen today.

Cramping got worse throughout the day, called the doctor at 10:30pm when the cramping/contractions were 8 minutes a part. Got to the hospital at 1:30am and had DD at 3:49pm on Sunday.

My water never broke, my doctor broke it when I was about 5cms.

at 38w, my water broke at home in bed at about 10pm on a tuesday night, went to the hospital but did not have contractions until about 2 hours later after they gave me cervadil. Had bad contractions for about 8 or so hours, but never dilated at all. DD was born the next morning, wednesday, at 1030am via c section.
At my last appt, dr said I was not dilated and did not make a prediction about when I would go.

Water broke at 5:30 pm. I was 10 cm and in transition by 10 pm and DS was born via emergency c/s a few minutes later. He was a footling frank breech. They thought they had more time.

With DC1, my water broke at 3:30am 4 days before my due date.

With my first, I was 5 days late and up earlier than normal because I had an appt for a NST and a check up as the hospital. At about 7 30am, after I got out of the shower and stuff-- I felt a trickle down my leg. My water broke but it was subtle. I wasn't contracting at all on my own. Went to the hospital and they admitted me and gave me pitocin to move me along.
