maternity clothes
I went to motherhood maternity and GAP maternity yesterday and was unimpressed with the selections, just got a few basic things. I ordered a few things from Ann Taylor maternity tonight. Does anyone have any other recommendations of where to shop? Can you post some of your recent purchases.. Thanks!

I second this! I also found some Kohl's and Targets to have a good selection.

Re: maternity clothes
In the Source Mall in Westbury, the Old Navy there has a maternity section (the only other one that has maternity is in Bay Shore) and the H&M has a maternity section too. I've gotten a couple of pieces at both stores; they're worth a look.

Re: maternity clothes
I am 30 weeks and went to forever 21 the other day. There are so many tops there that are not maternity looked really cute on and were cheaper than maternity. I bought a plain long tank for $8 and I was able to buy my normal size, I think b/c it was so long.

Re: maternity clothes
I try to buy non-maternity clothes for as long as possible. Loose things that I can belt above the belly, or empire waist tops and dresses. For bottoms, I do well at Old Navy (for jeans), and Destination Maternity.

Re: maternity clothes
I"m not sure how far along you are but in the beginning I was a total pissy pants about finding maternity clothes because I hated everything. Nothing really fit me right and it was expensive. Now that I'm futher along, I really like a lot of the clothing better.
I found the Destination Maternity in Carle Place to have a nice selection and very helpful staff. The sales girl made me try on things and I was pleasantly surprised. Pea in the Pod definitely has a nicer selection of clothes but they are way more pricey.

Re: maternity clothes
I ordered online from Motherhood....i think there was more of a selection. I also ordered a few things from JC Penney, and I've (for now) supplemented with some non-maternity, but bigger size, elastic waist / empire waistline from Fashion Bug and Dots (they are CHEAP)

Re: maternity clothes
I bought most of my stuff from Destination Maternity - but I pretty much bought all Pea in the Pod stuff. The Pea in the Pods in Manhasset and Macy's Herald Square are awesome!
I also bought from H&M in the city and Nordstrom online.
