Does anyone know about Medicaid?
So, I currently got approved for Medicaid since my DH lost his job and we no longer have coverage...
After reading everyones post on my bleeding I am really tempted to go to another hospital and request a sono..here is my question..
Does Medicaid cover ER visits? Will they cover me if I already saw a Dr. today?
Please, any advice ASAP would be appreciated since I am thinking about doing this soon.

call them ( medicaid). or look up online, i am pretty sure most ( if not all) hospitals participate. there might be a co-pay though.

The hospital will apply to Medicaid for you, and get it covered.
Don't worry about it, they will cover it. I had no insurance 10yrs ago and ended up in the hospital for bilateral pneumonia. Hospital applied to Medicaid for me and got it covered.
Unless things changed?

Don't worry about it, they will cover it. I had no insurance 10yrs ago and ended up in the hospital for bilateral pneumonia. Hospital applied to Medicaid for me and got it covered.

ER will not care if you saw a dr today or not. You can tell them things have gotten worse.
maybe call the hospital you are planning to go?

medicaid covers ER visits. All hospitals accept medicaid. it won't matter that you went to the doc, it will still be covered. i'm not sure what the co pay is, but if it is significant you can also work with the hospital's billing department to get discounted fees.
