Second Appt. - 11w
Hi ladies,
What do they do at the second appt. (11w)? At 12w Im going for the testing and will get to see the baby and all... so what do they do this week???

I was JUST going to post this! I had an appointment at what would have been 9 weeks but they said i was measuring 8 weeks 2 days. today I am 10 weeks going by the new dates.
I know I don't have a sono until 12 weeks, so what the heck are they going to do? and mine is with the dr.
I don't need a pap until june.. what could this be for?

I just had my Nuchal scan and my 12wk appt yesterday.
At the appt, she went over medical history, what/what not to do, how much weight to gain, exercise, etc.
No exam, just weight, BP and urine.

Even though I wasnt due for a pap until July, my OB gave me a pap and culture at 11 weeks just because to be safe I guess. They also took a urine sample, and gave me all my results from my previous blood work.

see all of the above was done already, and the blood work results were read to me since I had it done early by an re
and they made an appointment with my for june for my pap.
uhhh I hope I don't go for no reason, its a late appointment and I'm so tired today.

Yeah mine is with the dr. too, and they said they wont do my pap in the first trimester. So... weigh in and urine???
They already went over what/ what not to do, excerise, weight gain, etc. Hmm hope its not a waste of time, especially since I have to leave work early.
Do they check on the baby at all??? Like the heart beat or anything???

with DS it was ...pee in a cup, doppler for the HB, quick check, and I was out of there.

Same here. Except the doc couldn't find the heartbeat so she had to do a quick ultrasound. Turns out the baby was "hiding" behind the placenta, which was why she had a tough time finding the heartbeat.

ohhh I'm so excited to hear the hb again!!!
I've been so worried. I was on a really rough flight last night and we dropped so many times. I hit my head once. it was really really bad. I knew I was going to the dr tonight so I figured he might be able to check and make sure everything was ok.

if anyone still wants to know, they did weight, blood pressure, urine, looked to review blood test results but I didn't have any. he asked about any symptoms I was having and he tried to hear the hb with the doppler. i'm exactly 10 weeks and he wasn't able to find it although he didn't try very much. just really tried one spot

Im not 11 weeks. sometimes at 11 weeks its still hard to find, and he didn't try very hard. He wasn't worried
