I will be there for three weeks this summer... Staying at a house on the beach via home exchange :)

It's gorgeous but very expensive! There's some great shopping along the main street (Hermes, Chanel, etc.).

Lots of the "beautiful" people around.

My favorite carribean island!! We went there on our honeymoon!

I just love love it...the island, the food, the beaches, all....we ran into David Letterman at lunch and saw Judi Dench pumping gas..always somebody famous there..

Its about 2hours away from St Martin (ferry) so you can go on a day trip there as well.

It has very european feel and I felt like I was in the french rivera and not the carribean. The local currency is Euro & prices are kind of high.

There are many places to visit, we loved Nikki Beach and the small organic restaurant right next door. Eden Rock hotel is also there. There is "town" -island center (Gustavia) where the port is and most of the upscale shopping is as well as many restaurants and crappes shopps. We loved Le Craperie which had the best chocolate banana crapes ever!!!! yumm...

St Barths and St Maarten are my two favorite islands, St Barths is def more upscale and def does feel a bit like the French Riviera...You are always seeing celebrities and it's just a very very relaxing and luxurious vacation!!!!

St. Barths is a beatiful island. I go to St. Maarten a lot and we usually go spend the day there. It is very pricey a bit snooty if you ask me but a nice island. I personally love the european feel to it but would have no interest in spending an entire week there.
