Have any of you ladies....

Well long story short....some of you know i went to the hospital at 29 weeks last week for early contractions ( no pain didn't even know i was having them honestly) so i was on mag then indocine then procardia now after being in the hospital for over a week they finally Sent me home cause the contractions haven't affected my cervix since my last sono....so now im home on a 72 hr dose of indocine and procardia till my 34 35 weeks and on bed rest.


Basically my questions is about my shower ...my invites have been out and people have still been responding but my shower isn't until june 27 ...hopefully my lo don't arrive early but i think once they take me off the procardia there might be a good chance whe will arrive early from all the contractions i get .

Have any of you ladies had one after your lo arrived should i just cancel the shower now just in case? My dh said just throw it anyway even if she isn't here i might not be able to go cause of my bed rest depending on what dr said ....so basically do you think it is we rid to have the shower anyway if i am not there i feel like its would be weird and may e some may think it kind of tacky? What do you ladies think.
Honestly im really not stressing it just want your ladies opinion on what you would do.

I don't have any personal experience, but my cousin was born the day before my aunt's baby shower, and my uncle went as the guest of honor in her place.

June 27th is still 5 weeks away, and a lot can happen. I'm sure your friends and relatives know what's going on, so they would be ready for a sudden change of plans. I would wait a little longer and see what happens before making any decisions.

Don't cancel it. Hopefully everything will be okay and you can attend. After everything you have been through, you deserve a party in your honor.

As the PP said, people probably know your deal and will handle a necessary impromptu cancellation with understanding.

Don't cancel I was on a t-pump and bedrest as I told Tokyo in last post. I sat in a chair and my sil and cousins. Handed and moved and did everything as far as lifting gifts and moving went. Family got me food from buffet and I was waiting when guests arrived so I could thank everyone for coming with out having to walk around to all the tables everyone knew my situation none minded they were just happy I was there. How many weeks will you be at the time of your shower?!
