Dh understanding of bedrest

I've been on bed rest for7 weeks and will be until we deliver. It has been very difficult since I can't work, drive, clean or anything. Dh travels out of state or work Monday the Thursday and rarely can call me during the day. When he does call me it's for five minutes or he is doing six different things while I'm on speaker phone. I try to tell him how crazy bed rest has been for me, having no one to talk to really. He just says sorry babe.
Anyone else having trouble making dh understand!

Oh yes! I can relate!! I was on modified bed rest at week 24 and started strict bed rest at week 30. My DH has been wonderful...the outside of my house looks beautiful! What he doesn't understand is I need to be off my feet 90-95% of the time. That means I shouldn't be doing laundry, running errands or cooking. Sometimes he makes me feel guilty because I physically can't do these things and he has to do them. Good thing you and I are almost at the homestretch.

Oh so happy to have a partner here. I can't do anything either and I feel guilty the few days he is home that we have sooooo much to do before the baby comes that he doesn't have much time for himself. But I also hate that I have no life right now and feel like a caged animal!

I couldn't agree with you more! I'm so used to being active around the house...I feel so useless right now!!! I still have to wash the baby clothes and get my hospital bag ready!
