Disney-resorts and tickets

Has anyone booked a vaca to disney recently? Im wondering if I should buy the tickets to the park thru disney reservations (how I booked my hotel) or if I should wait til I get there. For some reason, I remember finding discount tickets while I was there last time.

TIA!!

I don't think you ever get discounts at the gate. Maybe if you go to the visitor's center in kissimme or something, but not at the TTC itself or really anywhere ON Disney property.

I think your best bet is to do your research online for the best discounts and buy ahead.

Mousesavers.com has a newsletter that usually has a link for a special discount for tickets at undercover tourist. You should also check the rates with aaa. I also wanted to mention that historically prices increase in august so you may want to keep that in mind if you decide to wait.

Undercover Tourist and Mousesavers are good resources for discount tickets. I find that the AA rates aren't really any cheaper than buying through Disney.

You won't find any discount tickets at the ticket center. The PP was correct, they usually raise ticket prices the first weekend in August. If you have a trip planned, you may want to purchase your tickets in advance of this date to avoid the increase.

Also, if you are staying at one of the Disney properties, see if there is a package that includes the tickets - sometimes that works out cheaper than paying separately for everything.
