when is your last day of work....

relative to your due date? People are starting to ask me and I don't have a clue what to say. what if I go late - then that's days I have to use that I don't really have; we don't get much paid time.

what are you doing in terms of your last day and working?

I plan on working till the baby is due so I have all the time off with the baby.

I'm having a sched c-section July 5th so plan on working till Friday, July 1st. Monday we're off

I don't see any need whatsoever to stop working early. I'd wind up just sitting around at home twiddling my thumbs, waiting to go into labor.

I will go until I GO.

july 1st and im due july 14th. but im also not coming back to work after maternity leave.

I'll be having a scheduled c-section, so I will work until the week before that date...if it's on a Monday, so be it...if it's a Thursday, I have a few days to get "prepared'

I did end up with a c-section with DD, but I had planned to work until I went into labor!

tomorrow! i'll be exactly 39 weeks. we have to use vacation time until the baby is actually born and then it switches to maternity, but i calculated that even if i go the full 2 weeks late i still have enough vacation to cover that and have a few days left over. since we have 18 weeks maternity that means i wouldn't be coming back until columbus day, so hopefully i won't need too much vacation between then and the end of the year. and hopefully *fingers, toes and everything else crossed* i won't be anywhere near a full 2 weeks late.

I'm due on Monday, and had planned to work through the end of last week. Thankfully, I have the best bosses in the world (and a good deal of seniority)......and the bosses insisted I stop "actively" working at the end of last month. I've been working from home as necessary since April 29th.

The time has been a godsend, as I was way more exhausted than I realized. I slept a lot that first week and have taken my time getting through a pretty long To Do list. When working, I had little time to take care of personal stuff.....I generally put in a 65-70 hour week if you included my commute. It's been nice to be home, and I'm incredibly grateful for my situation.

I'm certainly more anxious for this little guy to come out, though.....because I have little else to occupy myself!!

Wow it looks like im in the minority here. So many things can change between now and then but my current due date is December 16 and I plan on having Thanksgiving week as my last week of work- That puts me right around 37 weeks. I think even that will be tough with my long days and commute into the city. Perhaps I can work from home at that point but I kind of like having some me time and prep time before the baby comes...plus I cant imagine how i would concentrate at work after then,I have a hard time even now!

I'm due 11/2 and plan on working from home as early in october as possible.

I also commute and while I hope to work until the end... I was thinking if i'm due 7/21 then maybe my unofficial last day (like what I have to tell clients) should be 7/15, but I can work from home until I actually go into labor. I just don't want to be late, and waste the days. ugh.

My due date is July 9th. I'm a teacher and the last day of school is June 24th so I'm planning on working until the end of the school year (I'll be 38 weeks on the last day of the year) As long as I'm feeling good, I'll be at school and then I should have the last 2 weeks or so at home. The only thing I'm a little worried about is that we don't have air conditioning at my school and my classroom gets INSANELY hot. I'm hoping that this June won't be too hot :)

Probably June 3rd and I'm due June 24th. I'm also not coming back though. I think if I was returning to work I would probably work until closer to my due date but maybe take the week leading up to it off (depending on how I was progressing). I work in the city and just would not feel comfortable waiting to go into labor so far from home.

Maybe sometime in July? My Dr likes to take things week by week. The NP said at 28 weeks I will be so uncomfortable that I won't be able to work, much less do anything else.
So far I actually know going to work is a good thing because so far on my days off I sit on the couch like a LOG!

im going to work up until my water breaks...lol....or of course if the doctor tells me i cant work anymore.

I am so jealous of those who can work until the end. My job is too physical and stressful that I stopped at 28 weeks after my bp was consistently very high.

I'll be 31 weeks on my last day... I'm a teacher, but due at the end of August, so I get my last 9 weeks off.

I am due June 4th and my last day is supposed to be May 27th. I go to the Dr tomorrow and depending on what he says I am strongly considering making this Friday my last day. I will be 38 weeks on Saturday. We'll see.
