Stony Brook gyn/ob Dr. Porte/ Okeefe
Hi, I am 11 weeks and I am going to be switching OB's my current group I really like but they only deliver at St. Catherine's and I really would feel more comfortable at Stony Brook- my question is does the StonyBrook gyn/ob group do sonos in the office, also do they draw blood in the office or do you go to a lab?

Hi! They do sonograms at the office but you do have to go to a lab for the bloodwork. They have 3 offices - I know that the East setauket and rocky point have the sonogram machines..the sayville office doesnt yet last time i was there, but i do know they were working on putting one in that office as well, last i heard. They delivered both my dc and had an awesome experience with them..if you have any questions feel free to ask...goodluck!

I couldn't have put it better. I go to the E. Seauket office and mainly see Dr. Porte. I also really like Dr. O'Keefe but Dr. Porte delivered Ds and will be deilvering DC#2.

I see them as well, and they do not do the NT scan at 12 weeks on site though. You have to go over to the hospital for that. All other sonos they do in office. They also send you to a lab for bloodwork. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the practice!!!

I also LOVE their practice!!! My dr is Dr. O'Keefe. They did my ultrasound there, and sent me to Sunrise Labs for bloodwork. The 12w scan is in a medical park on Belle Meade Rd. Im going in a few weeks...

They are great. Dr Welischar deliver DS 4 yrs ago. I picked them because they had a low csection rate.
