Getting Disability Edited w/ another ??

What are the requirements and where do I even begin?

I didnt think I was eligible b/c I only work part time, but my boss mentioned today that I should look into it.

I dont get any paid time from my job bc Im only part time and have no benefits through them...

ETA: Does your Dr have to say that you have some type of disability or is just the pregnancy/birth enough??

I got all the disability paperwork from the HR director at my job. I would check there.

I also received my paperwork from my HR dept. My doctor completed it and I sent it back to HR and started receiving my checks about 2 weeks later. GL

are you going out early?

i think it's easier to get it approved due to pregnancy... but most dr's won't write you out without a reason. The dr has to sign off on it.

you should look into your HR dept or an employee handbook... whatever your company has for informational resources. There must be information located somewhere.

I'm not sure if it's the same for all companies. I'm sure there are similar aspects of it, but it might not be identical to the rules for my company.

I had to get paperwork from HR and have the dr fill it out. it was a major PITA and there was constant paperwork to be approved, and forms to be filled out. And every few weeks I needed more approvals from the disability area. I do believe the reason you are on disability makes a difference in requirements as well.

I've been on disability since March. My doctor had to write a note explaining that due to the nature of my pregnancy, I am physically unable to work.

i work a full time job and a part time job, and i do get short term disability with my part time job as well as my full time!

def check into it!
