What do you do if youre not ready to tell people?
I posted yesterday that Im not even 8 weeks and already showing....A LOT. THis is #2 for me, so I was warned this could happen. Im in a bella band now and my boss literally laughed her @ss off when I walked in this morning and was like "you cannot get up and walk around the office like that if you dont want anyone to know"
So what do I do? Im 7w4d and Im really not ready to tell people yet bc so much can still happen, you know? Do I just go about my business and pretend like its not there, LOL or just come clean? Any tricks to hide it?
WWYD?

Re: What do you do if youre not ready to tell people?
If you are obviously showing I would tell people. If you can hide it with some clothing and feel more comfortable waiting a few weeks I would try to wait it out.
I always tell people right away. As you know I just had a miscarriage and there was no way I could have gone without telling my family/friends what was going on.
But, I am going to hold out for as long as possible if I ever get pregnant again. I show VERY early too - so if I can get to 8 weeks without telling anyone I will be very happy. We'll see though. I was showing this time around at 6 weeks

Let people think what ever they want, you dont have to verify anything. I didnt tell family until 13 weeks and work until 15 weeks. I was starting to show and most people probably knew but nobody asked and if they did I just said no. Dont feel pressured to do anything youre not comfortable doing.

i agree. only if you're comfortable, then you should tell people. just wear loose, flowly fabrics if you want to hide it a little bit longer.

ITA... dont feel obligated to say yes just because someone asks or thinks you are...

i agree...if you aren't ready to tell then just let them speculate. you don't have to confirm anything. Try to wear flowier shirts to hide the bump.

You don't have to tell anyone anything until you feel like you are ready. People can speculate all they want, and if you don't to spill it yet, even if you are showing, brush it off.

Re: What do you do if youre not ready to tell people?
im feeling the same way however im almost 14 weeks. we have told our families but i have only told a few people at work. to be honest i dont really care to tell anyone else. if i wanted them to know they already know.
so now it is getting weird bc although i am not really showing, i def. feel like some people have been looking at me a bit weird. Im a teacher and there r only 6 weeks of school left. I keep thinking some people may not know by the end of school and then when we come back in sept and i am 30 weeks they r going to be shocked!
Basically i wouldnt tell anyone you dont care to tell. If they THiNK they know something thats one thing. You dont have to confirm.

I wore flowy tops and didn't tell work until 16 wks this time around. There are def. clothes that can help or at least diminish your bump!

Re: What do you do if youre not ready to tell people?
just wear baggy shirts until your ready! hopefully people (well besides your boss) wont have the balls to ask!
and you tell people when your ready...if they say "oh i knew it" then whatever you still wait until your ready

Re: What do you do if youre not ready to tell people?
I was obviously showing around 8/9 weeks this time and I kind of ignored it.
The few people that I'm close with that said "who are you kidding?", I came out to.

Re: What do you do if youre not ready to tell people?
I think I just look more like I gained weight at 9 weeks rather than an actual bump.. Ive been wearing my more looser fitting clothes and they are getting tight-- people probably just think I ate too many ding dongs.
BUT I have had people ask me bc I havent been drinking etc and I just evade it or am nonresponsive. Like the other girls have said, they may have their suspicions but you dont need to confirm or deny until your ready. Besides anyone that asks is just rude- what if I have JUST eaten too many ding dongs!

Re: What do you do if youre not ready to tell people?
If you truly do not want to "come out" yet than you don't have to admit to anything until you're ready. Obviously people will "know" but that's ok! This time around, I also showed very early. People were asking me around 8 weeks, but I just denied it with a smile. They obviously knew but I didn't want to admit anything unil closer to three months. I would up telling most people around 11 weeks.
