Child care in Plainview, NY

Hi all-

I'm looking to move my son to a child care center closer to my work. He's 2.5 and potty trained. We're looking to start him in the Fall and are interested in M-F, from about 8:30-5:30p.m. I've called, what feels like all the ones I could find. I'm hoping to visit them within the next couple of weeks. Does anyone have children who presently attend the following centers and would you be willing to provide feed back, both positive and/or negative.

Thanks in advance.

Miss Debbie's
Miss Sue's
Shalom Day Care
Hickory Hill Day School
Teacher's Pet Childcare

Ms. Sue's is supposed to be great - however if I were to use child care in Plainview I think I would go with the JCC it has alot to offer.

Miss Sue's is a nursery school, not sure they offer daycare. Miss Debbie's has a great rep, people rave about it. The JCC offers both nursery school and daycare which is a nice combo. Hickory Hill and Shalom both have good reps, but I have heard more about Miss Debbie's.

Re: Child care in Plainview, NY

we used Teachers Pets. My DD went to the Plainview Center first, then I moved her to Wantagh b/c it is closer to home. We loved Teachers Pets. She went from 21 months thru pre-k (she will be going into 2nd grade). My friend's daughter was with her thruout and she had another DD who is also in the Wantagh center now as well. We never had any issues, the kids are truly loved, they learn a lot and after, I think it was 3.5 yrs they do field trips and everything, she absolutly loved it. We actually drop in once or twice a year to visit, that is how much she loved them and missed them
