Silly question re: sand/water table
Did you buy the sand they sell for the table or get it from the beach?

Re: Silly question re: sand/water table
I was thinking about this today. My parents are going to get a sand table or box, and they live 2 blocks from the beach ... so I was thinking of just grabbing a few big buckets and filling them up with sand. I started to research if there are any legal issues, um ... its not legal .. oops

Re: Silly question re: sand/water table
They also sell the sand at Walmart. My Mom picked some up for our table today.

Re: Silly question re: sand/water table
I would really buy your own. I saw on a show not too long ago about how filthy the sand at the beach is and there's no way I'd want to bring it home for my kid to play with. I never even thought about sand being dirty but according to the show it's crawling with germs.

Yes the sand at the beach is filthy, but what's to say the sand you buy is any different. When we first got our sand table, the sand we bought from TRU was infested with eggs of little insects. It was disgusting. And when i contacted them about it, they told me that it wasn't the first complaint they have received.
IMO, i would do whatever you feel comfortable with.
