I was called gigantic today!

The security guard at my school told me I was gigantic today. She actually looked at me and gasped, "Oh my God, you are GIGANTIC!"

She is known for saying things like this from when a few of the other teachers were pregnant so I was kind of prepared. I laughed and said, "No, I'm not." (I'm really not. I'm 16 weeks and I'm by NO means gigantic. It's just that she hasn't really seen my belly bc I usually wear a jacket when I see her and today I wasn't wearing it. I had on leggings, a fitted shirt and a long sweater/jacket thing, so it was her first time getting look at my belly. A few people commented on my belly today but all in very sweet, congratulatory ways.)

Even after that she STILL insisted that I was huge. I put my hand on her shoulder and said, "I'm going to tell you the same thing I told my students. If you're not going to tell me I look beautiful, don't say anything at all." HER RESPONSE?!?! "But you got really big!"

At that point my friend walked over and said, "It's just because she's skinny and now she has a belly." And the security guard STILL continued, "If you're that big now, you're going to be out to here (and motioned with her hand) at the end."

SERIOUSLY! What an idiot! I'm not offended. I just can't believe her, especially because the entire time, she was shouting it. Like it was the craziest thing she's ever seen in her life!

Sounds like your students are better learners than she is! What a moron! I give you a lot of credit... You handled it really well!!
