I'm not even sure where to post this - refinising a kitchen table
Right now I have an all white kitchen pedestal table from Crate and Barrell. The while is starting to fade and have some stain marks on it just due to time (and kids)
My uncle is super handy with wood - makes tables etc. I would love to buy a new wood top and have him put this on my pedestal bottom. He lives in NC and I haven't even spoken to him yet but I want him to do this on his next trip to NY.
Where do I go to buy a wooden top? Or a wood slab that he could refinish?

He could refinish your current table. He Would just strip it and re-paint it. Do you still want white or would you stain it?

If it is white painted wood, he can sand it down and then stain it.

He could sand it and paint it another color like black or if he sands to barewood he can just stain it to the color you want.
