Hotels on LI? Please don't move to Travel

I grew up on LI but moved OOS for college and have been gone from the area since 1998. My parents have also moved off the island. I'm coming up there for a wedding this summer and we're looking for a nice but reasonably priced hotel somewhere in Nassau, south shore, to stay for about 5 days. I have no idea what's good or what's shady because I've never had to stay in a hotel on LI before!
TIA!

Try the Courtyard Marriot on 110 in Farmingdale. I have stayed there and it is very nice. There are actually a good number of chain hotels in that area.

If you are looking for Western Nassau there is a Hampton Inn in RVC and a Holiday Inn Express.

Over by Roosevelt Field Mall there is also a Hampton Inn and I think a La Quinta.

In the Plainview area there is a 4Points.

On 110 there is the Courtyard Marriott and the Hilton. Melville Marriott or Uniondale Marriott too.

There's also a Best Western on Sunrise in Massapequa that my parents have stayed at a few times.

We used them for our wedding block, clean, nice, great breakfast buffet, bar, etc. I would definitely recommend them!

Garden City Hotel in Garden City (Nassau)...Its pricey but definitely worth it, my friends from CA love staying there and its location is convenient to everything in Nassau County.
