Would you rather have you shower at 29 weeks or 34 weeks?

Going to be help plan a shower and wasn't sure if 29 weeks or 34 weeks would be better.

I had my shower at 33 weeks.

Would you rather have your shower at 29 or 34 weeks?

I had mine at 34 wks and I think I liked that better because I didn't want all the stuff just sitting around the house for so long.

But I will admit I was pretty exhausted the rest of the weekend after the shower. But I think that would have happened no matter when I did it.

I had my shower at 32 weeks thought that was a pretty good time...

i would say maybe 29 weeks. that way there is more time to set things and get ready for the baby. but 34 weeks isnt so bad either.

I think 29 is a little early - I think 34 is fine. I would say 32-33 is ideal, but if that wont work, I would prefer 34 to 29 personally.

I would say 29 - only becaues I ended up having my dd at 37 weeks and there is no way I would have gotten everything washed, set up and put away if I only had 2 weeks.

My shower was at 31 weeks

I am having mine at 33w, so I say 34w. My BFF had hers early and having the baby stuff around longer annoyed her lol

29 weeks, you can never be prepared too early in case LO arrives early and it also gives you extra time to exchange things yourself, before your too big and uncomfortable

id pick 29 weeks...gives u ample time to get things set up and returned if necessary. i had mine at 30 weeks and it was ideal.

I am having mine at 29. I think the earlier the better. Im a big planner and I want to have time to complete my registry after my shower, finish the nursery and be able to return items as I need to.

I had mine at 33w and was exhausted. There are pros and cons to both choices. It would have been nice to have it earlier so that i would have had more energy but then having all that stuff around so much earlier could be tough...

I am going to say 29 weeks...

Well my shower was this past weekend and I was 29w 4 d. The reason being though was because I am OOS and I can't travel long distance after 34 weeks and I guess this past weekend was what my mother chose since we'll be going away next weekend and then it's Memorial Day weekend.

I guess though if the mom to be has been having an uneventful pregnancy without complications, 34 weeks would work too. I do know someone who had a shower planned and then had the baby a week before the shower LOL go figure.

I would have preferred 29 weeks, my shower will be at practically 35 weeks and I'm very panicked about it that I won't have enough time to pick up items that weren't purchased, set things up, etc., especially because it looks like my shower is going to be very small and with 2 weeks left my registry is still 90% full So I much rather would have had that extra time, if for nothing else just to space out purchases so we don't end up dropping like 2 grand in a clip.

I'd probably go with 29. Mine was at 30 and that was great! I felt really good, and it gave us plenty if time to get everything to the house and sorted and assembled, etc.

I had mine at 35, so I vote for 34.

I agree with PP - no need for everything to sit around.

I would say 29, I am having mine at 30 because there was just so little available time...but the more I think about it the happier I am because I will have more time and energy to get some things done and then wait patiently for LO

I will be 32 almost 33 wks at my shower. But i would say do it earlier then later. You will be more comfortable.

29 if it was up to me - how I looked and felt was better than later on...I had mine at 34-35wks (it was about a month before my DD)
However, I will say getting all the stuff that early may be a problem w/returns later on....just a thought.

29 weeks just because the baby could come early and I'm a planner. I'd rather have everything washed and set up earlier than have to worry about doing it too close to the end. The more time I have, the better IMO.

I had mine at 29 weeks & thank God for it. Four weeks later I got so swollen none of my shoes fit & my maternity clothes got too small. I cried anytime I had to dress up because nothing was comfortable.

If I was having a normal pregnancy, I would say 34 weeks. Because I'm having problems and my doctor told me not to expect to go full term and I also have the possibility of going on true bed rest, I say 29.
