Has anoyone ever built a loft in their home?
My daughters share a room, I was thinking about going to the rafters and making a loft in the bedroom so they could each have their own living areas, anyone ever done this? And if so what was the cost? TIA

Re: Has anoyone ever built a loft in their home?
we converted our garage into a room for my son and created a loft in the attic over the new room in our old townhouse. I honestly don't remember anything about the cost, DH did all the work. I remember the trickiest part being the heating. He was able to build a ladder style stairs that saved some space & was more economical than a custom staircase. The loft area was about 8' X 8" and just had my son's full size bed & a small tv on a stand. his dresser, desk and other stuff were all in the main room, having the loft area gave him enough room for a small couch and his drumset as well.
