Still like both names but they are not on our list.
Oh man I loooved the name Samantha when I was younger (and still do). I was dead set on that name for my future daughter and it was because of Samantha from Who's the boss too

When I was a kid I named my cabbage patch kid Emily. Emily was not on our list.

Haha those were my names now!! we are going with alyssa if its a girl, because DH has a cousin named samantha!

When I was little, all my Barbies were named Laura after Laura Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie. 
Shockingly, I haven't even considered that for a girl's name now. I did make it my confirmation name, though! lol
For a boy, I always loved the name Austin from my days of watching Days of our Lives. Austin was the hottie on that show! lol.
Neither name is what our child will be, though!

They have totally changed! LOL.
For a girl I wanted Amber or Ashley, they're not even a consideration now.
For a boy I wanted Joshua, which we didn't consider at all either.
