still pregnant, but in the hospital **UPDATED**

so i did the 24 hour urine test on sunday and brought it in monday.

this morning on my way to the office the phone rang and dr. G said i needed to go to LIJ for more testing since there was a lot of protein in my urine still. i told him i was already on the train to Penn. he said "dont pull the alarm, but turn around when you get there."
so i got here and they ran more tests. so far Chat Icon is moving around and doing fine. but apparantly the growth has slowed and is measuring in the 20th percentile, about 30-31w. im 32w4d. they said it isnt concerning unless its under 10th percentile, but at one of my last sonos i was in the 50th percentile, so the drop is concerning. also my platelets dropped a lot too which is concerning, and the amniotic fluid is low. the fluid is around 7 which is low for 32w although under 5 is considered a problem. so basically im borderline on a lot of things that are signs of preeclampsia. oddly enough my BP has been fine.

so they admitted me and gave me the steroid shots just in case Chat Icon

ill be here prob through tomorrow and then if everything is the same theyll send me home on modified bed rest. i was about to post yesterday about how i was SO done with going to work.. i guess i got my wish . my shower is this sunday.. i hope i am out and allowed to go to it!

so if you could spare a few Chat Icon that my moobear makes it to 36w so i can feel better about delivering, that would be great!!

ps - im in LIJ and so far the staff and doctors have been pretty good. the labor & delivery suite was decent. the doctor in l&d and the MFM doctor were both very good. the nurses have been pretty good too although i def had to tell them what to do a few times (ie. when they tried to switch me to heparin this evening after i already did my usual dose of lovenox this morning Chat Icon ). but overall they are very nice and listen and seem to be pretty caring. i havent actually spoken to my doctor since the phone call this morning, although i think the LIJ doctors have spoken with him. if i dont see him tomorrow i will be pretty annoyed.. but we'll see in the morning.

UPDATE -
soo they are going to keep me in the hospital indefinitely. most likely until is here . the doctor made it seem like its a matter of one to two weeks before i have to deliver. but we are going to try and hold out as long as possible.

i know its best for me and the baby, but i live a block away from the hospital so its such a tease to have to stay here.
plus my shower was supposed to be this weekend although my mom, MIL and DH are trying to figure out what to do about that.

im so sad i cant go home. ill be 30 on may 29th. this is the first time ive ever been in the hospital for myself. so far everyone has been really nice but i cannot believe that i wont be going home before Chat Icon is here
