going to the jersey shore?
i'm not much of a beach person, but i've decided to bite the bullet for the sake of the family.
i'm toying with "going down to the shore" as a family getaway
but i don't have the foggiest idea of what would be involved. i live in mercer county (near trenton and princeton), i'm not even sure which part of the "shore" i should be considering.
can someone help?
i'd love it to not cost a lot because we have a highschool graduation coming up for SO's oldest.

Re: going to the jersey shore?
how about Wildwood?
Its like 3-4 hrs. from Queens, NY... so I dont know how far from you exactly. If you go during the week its so cheap!! You can find motels/hotels right on the beach/boardwalk.
There are shops/food/amusement parks.

Ocean City, NJ is an amazing shore town but it is a dry town (doesn't mean there isn't a liquor store right outside of town!) Amusement parks, water parks, beach, mini golf, all things summer!

i was just gonna say this great place! lots of "non- beach" stuff to do, too. nice and clean and family friendly. The "Dry" aspect helps cut down on some of the trashy 'Jersey Shore" element, too!
