baby here 7 weeks early
I don’t post often but wanted to update. I was due June 27 but my son wanted to give me an early Mothers Day present and arrived yesterday at 4:10 pm. My water started breaking around 12:45, got to the hospital@ 1:30. When my dr checked me around 2:15 I was 2 cm and 100% effaced. They gave me a shot of steroids for his lungs and put me on magnesium to stop labor. They were hoping to hold off delivery another 24-36 hours to give the steroids a chance to help his lungs. The baby had a different idea. I went from 2cm to 9 in about 45 minutes. The nurse was shocked. Because everything went so fast there was no time for epideral. He weighted 4lbs 8oz and was 17 inches long. Right now he's in the NICU at Huntington Hospital. Last night they were close to tubing him and transfering him to North Shore because he was having such a hard time breathing . He stablized so he is still here. Please keep Brayden in your thoughts and prayers. My little 33 weeker could use it!

Congrats on the birth of the most amazing Mother's day gift you could ever ask for.
Its sounds like he is stable now and a little fighter so although it might be scary... Ur little one will be just fine

My DD came at the same time. I went into labor a little differently, but my dd was born at 32 weeks, 5 days. She was 4 pounds, 14 ounces. She stayed in the nicu for 5 weeks and came home at a whooping 6 pounds. She is now a loud, sweet, funny, loud, happy, loud 3 year old and is too smart for her own good.
