Ladies, ladies, ladies,......
I couldn't stand my hair, it was at that in between stage of getting it to grow, so yesterday, off I went to an organic beauty salon, for a perm; I showed my stylist pictures of what I wanted, got an organic perm, which did not seem to smell as bad as those with ammonia, thought I had an ok style for Mom's Day tomorrow, even though it looked nothing like the pictures, and then, sleeping happened!!! Well, actually, it didn't happen, because all I could smell on my pillow was the stinky odor of whatever is in organic perm solution. Then, I got up, and my hair is as straight as a door nail, and sticky from organic hairspray. I'm suppose to revisit the salon today, to show them, but I'm really disappointed!!! I thought, "Oh great, organic products= no /less allergic reaction for me!!" NOT!!  And, now, I don't look nice for Mom's Day. Mary

Just returned from the salon; My stylist was not in, but I was invited to come by today, so another stylist could look at my hair. But, I'm not sure why, since when she did look at my hair, she said, "Well, I can't really tell, because I didn't see the perm, after the rods were removed."  I wondered, "Why am I here??" Then, she told me to come back Tuesday, at 12, when my stylist is there. I said, "Ok." but now I'm thinking, "What could she possibly suggest, and do I really want her to do anything else, to my hair, if she offers, even if I'm not charged for it?" I think I'll hear what she has to say, then, leave, and research who I want to go to next. It would be so refreshing to hear a stylist say, " Aww, I can see it did not turn out, and you're disappointed, I'm sorry, let me give you a refund/partial refund, or free products to make it up to you." If I heard this, I'd feel better. Mary

PS I decided just to let it go, and not go to see the stylist on Tuesday. I guess it's just a lesson learned, to do a bit more research on who I go to. This was a new salon for me.

i have never heard of an organic perm!!!!!!!!!! *****? lol
i would just go the manager ask for money back and run!!!! gl and hope it looks better soon!

I think you should go back because the stylist needs to know what happened! If it's a problem with the product, or her technique she could be selling this products to others and have the same issues. I get not wanting to make a fuss, but IMHO she needs to see it so she can learn. I'm guessing it wasn't the cheapest thing either, so maybe they can do something to make it worth your time and stress.

Hey, Jennifer!!! Well, I think it's a good idea, if the products work, but I felt I still had a bit of an allergy to the perm smell, and I didn't care for the hair spritzer spray; It made my hair sticky. And some of the products have roses in, which I'm allergic to. Well, I gave it a try!! I hope my hair looks better soon, too!!! Thanks!! Mary
