Lane Bryant/Old Navy!
So I've been on the anti-Old Navy boat for a couple of seasons, because I've been disappointed with their stuff. However, I went to the one at the Source Mall this morning, and I was pleasantly surprised. I don't buy pants there, because they don't care plus size pants in the store (which gets me pretty angry btw). However, I picked up some cute tops and summery dresses, and the quality seems to be back on track. I also went nice and early (10:30am) so everything was neat and orderly!
Afterward, I headed over to Lane Bryant, where I was very happy to find that they were selling EVERYTHING for 40% off! The sale is on until Sunday, so check it out! They were a bit overly pushy about getting their credit card, but I just kept saying "no," so not a huge deal.

What is it with Lane Bryant and the credit card?! My sister went in there to get bras when she was pregnant and they were very nasty!

They were giving 55% (in addition to the 40) off if you got the credit card. When I said I didn't want it, the woman gasped and said "Wow you don't want another 55% off???"
I'm sorry they were so nasty to your sister!

They have to meet a quota on credit cards. (Just like all the stores who push the credit cards.)
Even the pharmacist at RiteAid has to meet a quota for those stupid reward cards. Guy wouldn't take no for an answer, so I gave him all fake info.

Firstly, I have no reason to be against the Lane Bryant in Roosevelt Field Mall. I love it and the salespeople are really helpful and nice to me all the times that I go. I'd rather go to that particular Lane Bryant as opposed to the one closest to me in Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream- I HATE that one as they are nothing short of rude and pushy!
Not sure if you realized it but if you do apply for the CC it does have an advantage- on top of whatever coupons you have (or sales) you get an additional 25% off your purchases REGARDLESS if you get approved/accepted or not for the credit card.
I am sorry that they were rude to some of you, but I personally didn't find the salespeople to be pushing the card but yeah like all stores they gotta meet their quota for the credit card enrollments...that's the story on that one.
I usually go on Tuesdays (my day off) so I see mostly the same salespeople all the time...maybe because they know me they leave me alone?

It's possible. I just posted this to rave about the clothes at Old Navy and the sale at Lane Bryant, but I felt that I should mention the pushiness. I don't like pushy people-end of story.
I know there's advantages cards, but I have three credit cards and don't want anymore.

I order clothes from ON like every other month! Too bad I can't get them from a store
LB I've found their prices to be just ridiculously expensive and matronly. I used to have a very high balance on my LB credit card but I just can't find anything anymore that appeals to me besides the bras.

Just letting you girls know that I bought clothes from this site (located in the UK) and I loved everything I bought...I wanted long tops to wer with leggings or skinny jeans (where I can't even find one here in the U.S.) and they have tons and its true to size...I got my order in 5 days. make sure you click on the USA flag so it converts the euro to dollar and the sizing.
