I'm tacky and rude too!!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon

I registered for 2 Britax Convertible Advocate CS 70 Car Seats, if an upgraded model should come out between now and the time I get to use them (6 - 12months?) I willl be returning them for the safer upgrade !

I am SURE the person that bought me a present wants the best and safest model available!

I may also register for several different types of bibs/bottles/nipples/pacifers and return the ones the baby doesn't like.

One of the best pieces of advice I got from my BTDT moms is NOT to open anything until you need it because you just never know. Hate to break it to you but there is a ton of registry buying/returning going on, none of which is meant to offend anyoneChat Icon I think its really unfair to jump to the conclusion that people are rude or in some way ungrateful, its more about us being UNSURE till we get there

Re: Please help me with my registry

best advise I got was register for EVERYTHING even if you dont want it bc you can return & get store credit which really does come in handy for things you need down the road. A lot of people want to give gifts other than people coming to shower.. my husbands clients all sent gifts when they found out I was preggers, they found my registry and ordered and sent stuff.

I had a credit forever!! And there were things I thought I didnt want that I wound up loving and vise versa. so not trying to sound greedy or anything but register for a lot, if you dont have the space return & get at later date... Also, def get monitors!! I couldn't live without mine.. they are even great for summer, while your in backyard lets say & baby is sleeping... get the summer ones too!!

I am a BTDT mom, and I understand what you are BOTH saying. If you read my post is says that I believe it is tacky and rude to put something on a registry with the intent to return it for a credit. I'm not talking about newer models, or not using what is given. Like I said I live in another state and our showers and gifts are not that extreme. Something like a conv. car seat is a HUGE gift, and is not normally on a reg. here or if it is it's a gift from a parent or a group. Maybe i'm different, but what I put on my reg. was what I wanted and needed. Did I return duplicates, yes, would I put something on the list with the intent from the get go to return it...helllls to the no. People are taking time out of their day and life to go buy me something, and to show up at my shower. I understand that may not be the case of how it all worked out, and I apoligize if I jumped to conclusions, but I still stand behind the thought.....if you plan to return it before it's on the registry don't put it on or ask for a gc to use for that purchase once baby is born.
