I found it really worrisome because the CPSC said that P&T said their "recall" was CPSC approved and according to the article released today from the CPSC it was not endorsed by them.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED this chair when AJ was smaller!
I sold it at a garage sale. I think.. or I may still have it in the garage. Thing is everyone was afraid of it. It was easy to use and lightweight.
If AJ still fit in it, I'd still use it today.

I agree - there is always a chair under him. It really is the BEST chair out there!!!! And super convenient since it's so small when folded!
I'm still going to use mine for as long as DS fits in it!

I'm so conflicted about this. I don't like the CSPC article. Words like head injury and amputation don't sit well with me! All of our friends have used this seat for years and love it but I don't like the risk and don't think I'll be using it.

You put a chair under the Metoo? Their instructions say you should't do that. I believe it's because it can be used for leverage to push away from the table.
I've only been using the Metoo for a few months now, but it is a great chair. Since the recall I give the chair a good pull to ensure it's firmly attached to the table.
Has anyone tried to get the recall kit with the new handle grips? I filled in their form over a month back and I still haven't heard anything from them. Although I like the chair, I'm not impressed by their support.

Welcome. I would call them and ask when you should expect the repair kit. I have waited 2 months for some repair kits for different products from other manufacturers. The thing that would concern me is no email letting me know that they received my inquiry. HTH
