I am in a co-ed league (not sure of the name) but I know it's not Alumni Softball or Fun Leagues. But played in both so I still know plenty of people.
Does you DH play coed?

My dad runs softball leagues on Long Island and although he doesn't have a ton of games scheduled on Mother's Day, it is usually opening weekend for the summer leagues. He said the following:
1) He usually only does games in the early morning or in the night so that people have their afternoons; and
2) Teams can as a whole say they can't play on Mother's Day and they are excused.

DH is in a Sunday evening league (I hate it so much, screws up sunday BBQ's all summer/spring). They were scheduled to play mother's day and they fought it, so now they have to do double headers on memorial day wknd
