If you gate checked a stroller & car seat
Did you put them each in a bag to keep t hem from geting dirty, etc? Did you use a special gate check bag or can you just put it in a big plastic garbage bag? We're trying to save some $ and didn't want to have to buy special bags. We're freaking out about this whole trip and every little thing just seems so big! We want to be as organized as possible (if that's possible when traveling with a baby!) We probably would get a gate check bag for the stroller but we werent sure about the car seat.

we didnt use any bag and both were fine, not a mark on them

Nope just folded it up and left it by the door. Nothing happened. It was fine

After my red Peg Perego stroller came back covered in grease, I never went bagless again!

I got a "Gate Check" bag for my carseat..and Jetblue let me check it for free at the checkin counter - even thought I already had the max luggage.
I checked my storller at the gate and didn't have it in a bag.
the gate check bag is essentially a large laundry bag..in red which says gate check on it. Maybe you can just put it in a laundry bag?

My stroller was gate checked the first time and I wished I put it in a bag. The second time, i didn't do it again, and it got black all over it (my return trip I put it in a black garbage bag). There won't be a 3rd bc I'm putting it in a bag from now on lol. My carseat I put in a bag because dd is in that a lot and I didn't want to take any chances with it.
You don't need the red gate check bag, a construction garbage bag does the same thing!

I used the gate check bags. They came back pretty dirty the first time so I'm glad I used them.
They are like $13 at BRU and BBB and I used coupons. You could use a regular laundry bag as well.
