Please tell me how to handle tulips and daffodils after they have blossomed

What do I do and when should I do it to guarantee them to boom next spring. Thanks.

When the flower dies, chop it off but keep the leaves. The leaves will continue to produce photosythesis which is food for the plant so that during the winter it will get stronger and have a stronger plant the following year.

I do the above, but then when the leaves fall down and start to decompose, I chop them off to just a few inches above the ground.

I was told that the leaves need to yellow and then its time to chop the plant to the ground. Is that true?

omg-and what happens to the bulbs if I moved a few of them now? Wil they come back next year. I am such a plant murdererChat Icon
