How much spitting up is normal for newborn?
DD has been spitting up a bit and at times has trouble taking a bottle (formula fed) she will keep gagging/choking. Other times she takes it perfectly. She has thrown up like 2-3 times after having a bottle. She is a little over 4 wks. s this normal or should I be concerned about reflux or something.

many times what seems like a lot of spit up to us, is really not that much at all. i think you need to be concerned if it's projectile or if it happens every time. if it's once in a while, it's normal, but if you're concerned check with your ped :)

It's not projectile, just kind of comes up and out.

DD has reflux. My ped told me it is reflux if DC is spitting up a while after the feed ended. I wouldn't be concerned if your DD is spitting up a lot during or right after each feed or many feeds...but if you find her spitting up an hour after a feed ended, i would watch out for reflux.

DD had that. I took her to two GI doctors and they both said she would grow out of it (which she did at 9 months). She was a "happy spitter" so we were against putting her on meds. Maybe bring it to your PEDs attention, but if she's smiling and not fussing after a bottle I do not think there is much they can do.
